Bokkie (Buck) Class:
Nurturing Early Growth (Ages 1-2 Years)
Nurturing Our Youngest Explorers in the Buck Class
At Lekker Land Preschool, our Bokkie (Buck) Class is thoughtfully designed for children aged 1 to 2 years, focusing on creating a safe and stimulating environment where our youngest learners can begin their educational journey. We aim to foster curiosity, foundational skills, and a love for learning through play and exploration.
What Our 1-2-Year-Olds Learn
- Sensory Exploration: Engaging in activities that stimulate the senses helps children understand the world around them, promoting cognitive and motor development.
- Language Development: Through songs, stories, and interactive conversations, children begin to develop their vocabulary and communication skills.
- Social Interaction: Participating in group play encourages sharing, empathy, and the beginnings of cooperative play.
- Motor Skills: Activities such as stacking blocks, drawing, and simple puzzles enhance both fine and gross motor skills.
- Emotional Growth: We support children in recognizing and expressing their emotions, building a foundation for emotional intelligence.
Our Approach
We believe in integrating integrity, safety, and edutainment into our
teaching methods, ensuring that each child receives a holistic education
that balances learning with play. Our approach is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which views children as active participants in their learning journey, encouraging exploration and discovery.
