Olifant (Elephant) Class:
Building Strong Foundations (Ages 3–4 Years)
Cultivating Growth and Exploration in the Elephant Class
At Lekker Land Preschool, our Olifant (Elephant) Class is designed for children aged 3 to 4 years, a crucial period for cognitive, social, and emotional development. Our program emphasizes creating a nurturing environment where young learners can explore, discover, and build foundational skills that will support their lifelong learning journey.
What Our 3-4-Year-Olds Learn
- Language Development: Through storytelling, songs, and interactive conversations, children expand their vocabulary and improve their communication skills, fostering a love for language and reading.
- Social Skills: Group activities and collaborative play encourage sharing, empathy, and cooperation, helping children build meaningful relationships with their peers.
- Motor Skills: Engaging in arts and crafts, as well as physical play, enhances both fine and gross motor skills, promoting coordination and physical confidence.
- Creative Expression: Children are encouraged to express their individuality through various art forms, including painting, dancing, and crafting, nurturing their imagination and creativity.
- Emotional Awareness: Activities are designed to help children recognize and manage their emotions, building a foundation for emotional intelligence and resilience.
Our Approach
We believe in integrating integrity, safety, and edutainment into our
teaching methods, ensuring that each child receives a holistic education
that balances learning with play. Our approach is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which views children as active participants in their learning journey, encouraging exploration and discovery.
